Website growth?

While the internet is an amazing resource, trying to keep everything together and located in one place can be difficult. WHY? Well, take this blog for instance, it has been going for a few years now and when blogger first came out it was the latest coolest free web based software to get a blog up and running on the internet. So I went with it and had a whole stack of great fun running it.

But as we move forward and time passes, new web based softwares keep popping up on the internet. Some are poor in quality and soon disappear but others have been built very solid and last the test of time, as they say!

So I find that I have arrived at a place where I have a number of websites. Now on their own they are just fine. They work very well and are part of the reason for my success with my business.

My problem is that I have lots of zany ideas popping out of my head every week and 99% of them are just plain crazy but then one or two prove to be a worthwhile venture. But they may not fit into my current websites.

So I have found a need to build another site.

Apples R Blue is the site that I am currently working on. It is out there now but needs more content added to enable to make it of value to anyone visiting the site.

One thought I have had is to move this blog over to the new site.

That may or may not be the right thing to do. If I stay as I am right now with two blog type sites, then I have two blogs to write and post too each day. That is crazy and would be too much work. So I need to find a way to make it work for the two sites that will allow constant fresh content in the posts.

This will be a project that shall require the rest of the summer to figure out, any help, tips and or advice is most welcome from you. I am keen to learn and find the right way forward, I do not have all the answers and you guy's are a great bunch of people that always help me out! Advance THANKS to everyone who takes the time to offer help/advice and tips!

I like the design of your new site. I know exactly what its like starting a new site from scratch!

Personally, Angie and I went with Wordpress installed locally on our server for a few reasons. We've loved it. Feel free to email me if you want to know anything specific.

I've heard good things about SquareSpace (they sponsor one of Leo's podcasts).

Good luck with it. Your already off to a great start with the articles on there so far!

I, too, like the design of your new site Steve. I will leave a comment or two on there when I get some time.

SquareSpace looks pretty good. I nearly went with them when setting my blog up, but decided to go the self-hosted route with WordPress.
