It has been part of a long term plan to switch my whole household over to the Mac.
Yesterday I started to migrate her files and pictures and iTunes stuff, although iTunes was a real pain and it sucks when you try to copy over the library as a playlist from a PC to a Mac via a DVD disc...
So I started to reburn her CD collection one at a time onto the new MacBook for her. After about 15 CD's in, during the burning to iTunes, I popped in a Mariah Carey CD to burn, but after it loaded into the slot drive, iTunes did not 'see' it and 'hung' on me. The CD was not even showing on the desktop as 'loaded'.
I had steam coming out my ears!
A brand new Mac and it still gives me problems!
I had to switch off the MacBook by pressing down the power button, it had 'hung' when I tried to restart the MacBook, go figure huh? After restarting and keeping down the trackpad button, the CD ejected. Phew...... but come on Apple, at a premium price for your products, they really should perform better.

" Rich people can do strange things "
hahahahahah....
jan
Was it maybe the CD??
Maybe putting all the music on a separate drive would have been easier than burning discs. You can get external HDs pretty cheap now and that's where I back up all my extra stuff. Basically, my MacBook Pro only has applications on it. :-D
I agree with Kitty, it was the Cd!
